Diane Lorraine Williams

DIANE LORRAINE WILLIAMS, age 60, of Joppa, MD, died on December 19, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she is the daughter of Edith Constance Shelley Turner of Edgewood, MD and the late Kenneth Norton, and wife of the late Bernard Charles Williams. She worked 25 years at the Maryland State Department of Education, Department of Rehab Services, where she enjoyed her work. She also worked over 10 years at J.C. Penney’s in the catalog department at White Marsh. She attended John Wesley United Methodist Church, Abingdon, MD.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Nicole Williams of Edgewood, MD; three brothers, Ronald N. Shelley of Baltimore, MD, Horace G. Shelley III of Virginia, and Kenneth Norton Jr. of Reisterstown, MD; five sisters, Denise E. Sneed of Edgewood, MD, Lynette M. Shelley of Abingdon, MD, Joyce Norton of Edgewood, MD, Sheri Norton of Abingdon, MD, and Cheryl Norton-James of Texas; and three grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Anthony F. Williams; one brother, Russell L. Peaco; and two sisters, Yvette M. Shelley and Janet F. McElrath.
