Diane B. Stevens

DIANE MARIE BERNHARDT STEVENS, age 50, formerly of Chesapeake, VA, died on August 18, 2007 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Bel Air, MD after a brief and courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Baltimore, MD on September 23, l956, she was the daughter of Bernadette E. Bernhardt of Abingdon, MD and the late James E. Bernhardt Jr. She was a certified nursing assistant and loved her job. She loved helping people.

In addition to her mother, Ms. Stevens is survived by two sons, Kenny L. Stevens and David A. Stevens, both of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Karen E. Crank and her husband, Donald of Tulsa, OK and Carol A. Mongan and her husband, Fred of Abingdon, MD; one brother, James E. Bernhardt III and his wife, Bernice of Rosedale, MD; and two grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
