Dewey Hood Bowman

DEWEY HOOD BOWMAN, age 80, of Churchville, MD, died on November 6, 2007 at Sunshine Acres Assisted Living in White Hall, MD. Born in Bel Air, MD, he was the son of the late Dewey Fleet and Laura Ann Hood Bowman and husband of the late Geraldine L. Troyer Bowman. A Harford County resident all of his life, he worked for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office for 26 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed race horses and playing cards, as well as, bowling and tennis.

Mr. Bowman is survived by one son, Gregory Hood Bowman of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Valerie Bowman Hopkins of Churchville, MD; two sisters, Elizabeth Stephenson of Bel Air, MD and Carole Betz of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren, Megan Amanda Hopkins of Churchville, MD and Derek Kirk Hopkins and his wife, Katrina, of Pylesville, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy Hopkins and Emma Hopkins, both of Pylesville, MD.
