Dennis G. Davis

Dennis G. Davis, age 88, of Glasgow, DE, passed away on September 29, 2014 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air, MD. Born on September 21, 1926 in Roper, NC, he was the son of the late Joseph William and Edna Spruill Davis. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during WWII and was a crane operator until retirement in 1990. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers local 542, Ionic Lodge #31 in Newport, DE and a founding member of the Lions Club in Glasgow, DE.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosalie Lipscombe Davis; son, Michael Davis and wife Carol of Churchville, MD; daughters, Edna Weiner of Oberrieden, Switzerland, Denise Gouker and husband Curtis of Middletown; brothers, Joseph, Howard, Leonard, Charles and Bobby Davis; grandchildren, Severin Weiner, Tom Davis, Mark Weiner, Mandy Davis, Benjamin Gouker, Alexa Gouker, Daniel Gouker and Marissa Gouker; great granddaughter, Ryleigh Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John, Lewis and Grayson Davis, sisters, Julia Davis Price, Eva Davis Beddard and Calla Mae Davis Bennett.
