Della Rose Greene

DELLA ROSE GREENE, age 94, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of Bel Air, died on January 25, 2008 at Forest Hill Mariner in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Deep Gap, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Lester Flora Greene Younce and wife of the late Berl David Greene. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bel Air, where she enjoyed attending with her three generations. She has read her Bible for over 50 years and has made, by hand, candle wicking bedspreads where, until recently when she could not get the material, sold them through the Woman's Exchange in Baltimore from 1932-1989. She loved NASCAR racing and enjoyed watching the races on television. She went to Dover on occasion and even rode in a race car in 1997.

Mrs. Greene is survived by a son, Ervin Dale Greene and his wife, Mary, of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren, Sharon G. Walls of Forest Hill, MD, Ronald D. Greene of Seven Valleys, PA, David W. Greene of Madonna, MD, and Maria L. Greene of Baltimore, MD; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Ivah Rose Greene.

Pallbearers were Tom D. Walls, Ronald D. Greene, David W. Greene, Jacob A. Greene, Corey M. Greene, and Edward Woods. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Weih, Maria L. Greene, Krystal M. Woods, Katie L. Walls, Ralph D. Walls, James H. Greene, and Charles L. Walls.
