DELLA PLUMLEY, age 79, of Abingdon, died at her daughter’s home in Bel Air on November 13, 2003. Born in Ragland, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Flourney and Catherine Magnola Burke Jennings, and the wife of the late Junior Kyle Plumley. She worked as a practical nurse. A resident of Harford County since 1966, she lived at the Bar Harbor Camp Ground for 23 years. During WW II she worked at Glenn L. Martin. She worked at Church Mission of Help where she fostered babies for adoption. She also provided nursing care at Bonnie Blink. She worked at Fawn Plastic Company and Suburban Plastic Company.
Mrs. Plumley is survived by one son, Durwood (Woody) Plumley of Joppa; two daughters, Dorothy Brooks of Essex; Jane E. Koester of Bel Air; one brother, James (Kie) Malachi of Millington, Michigan; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
