Della Gay Kidwell

Della Gay Kidwell, age 71, of Abingdon, MD passed away on January 31, 2016 at home. Born in Ashe County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lester T. Haire and Helen R. (Bumgardner) Haire. She worked in retail at Woolworths and loved NASCAR and bowling.

Mrs. Kidwell is survived by her husband of 55 years, Theodore Reed Kidwell Sr.; son, Theodore Reed Kidwell Jr. of Delta, PA; daughters, Deborah Kaye Charles and husband, Danny, of Force, PA, Virginia Shupp and husband, Alfred, of East Berlin, PA and Leslie Stern and husband, Bob, of Glen Burnie; eleven grandchildren, Jessica Charles, Tyler Charles, Sean Price, Amber Kidwell, Teddy Kidwell, Savannah Adkins, Makayln Shupp, Dakota Shupp, Robert Stern Jr., Julianne Morris, and Samantha Stern; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Piccirillo and Danica Charles. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Haire and her sister, Mary Lee Hollenbaugh.
