Deborah Jane Medley Switalski

Deborah Jane Medley Switalski, age 67, of Abingdon, Maryland, passed away on June 18, 2024. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Vivian (Ferren) Medley and was survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Peter Switalski.

Deborah cherished family above all else and shared 50 years of enduring companionship with her beloved husband, Peter. She was a devoted mother, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness to her daughter, Megan.

Deborah found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including her passion for needlepoint, solving puzzles, and delving into the pages of a good book. Her affection extended beyond humans; she had a deep love for animals and often found comfort in their company.

In addition to her husband, Deborah is survived by her daughter, Megan Gray (Michael McAndrew) Switalski; sister, Vickie Sue Medley Matney; niece Victoria Matney (Jake) Hubert; great niece, Oakley Sue Hubert; niece Kristin Matney (Luke) Benner; great niece; Kylie Rae Benner; great nephew, Liam Pierce Benner; Sister Judith Ann Medley (Robert) Parks; nephew, Joshua David (Danielle) Parks and great nieces Vivian Parks, Evelyn Parks; nephew, James Uylesses (Krissy) Parks; great nieces, Elizabeth Parks and Peyton Parks; nephew James Lundey Medley; brother in law Michael J. (Mary Thomas) Switalski; niece Carly (Jesse) Stokum; and great niece Lydia Stokum.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by brother, James Ralph Medley Jr.
