Deborah G. Hammond

April 25, 1963 — June 15, 2006

DEBORAH G. HAMMOND, age 43, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 15, 2006 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, she was the daughter of Carole Ann Borden Harrison and William Harrison of Dover, DE. She worked as a Retail Service Manager in the Retail Food Service industry. She graduated from Dover (DE) High School in 1981. She was a resident of Harford County for 23 years and collected Precious Moments and Winnie the Pooh collectables. Her family said that she enjoyed her family and loved watching her children play baseball and soccer, and that she loved watching the Dallas Cowboys. They said that she won many awards for top sales and hard work in the fast food industry, including a bonus from Little Caesar’s for top sales before she was stricken with her illness. They said that she was hard working, a loving and devoted mother and that she dedicated her life to Christ.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hammond is survived by her husband of 17 years, Roger Hammond of Bel Air, MD; three sons, James Hammond, Travis A. Hammond and Trevor Hammond, all of Bel Air, MD; one daughter, Krystle Wagemann of Pylesville, MD; four brothers, Don Hopkins, and his wife, Tillie, of New Jersey, Rowdy Harrison, and his wife, Terry, and Henry Harrison, and his wife, Madge, all of Dover, DE and William R. Harrison, and his wife, Allyson, of Waco, KY; three sisters, Linda Turki, and her husband, Jose Mohamad, of Racine, WI, Lisa Wilson, and her husband, Billy, of Magnolia, DE and Carol Jean Harrison, and her husband, Roudie, of Rising Sun, MD; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, also known as her 2nd daughter, Krissy Travers of Bel Air, MD.

Mrs. Hammond was predeceased by two brothers, Edward R. Hopkins and Dale R. Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Debbie Hammond Memorial Fund, c/o First Mariner Bank, 12A Bel Air South Parkway, Bel Air, MD 21015.
