David W. Clark, age 77, of White Hall, MD passed away on November 5, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Suffern, NY, he was the son of Emmett Kast and Margaret Elizabeth Karoline (Wilhelm) Clark. Rev. Dr. Clark is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Clark; son, David John Clark; daughter Chrisa (David) C. Jahnke; grandsons, Eli and Samuel all of White Hall, MD; sister Linda J. Hammond of Rutland, VT; brothers, James (Donna) M. Clark of Verona, NJ and Paul (Judy) R. Clark of Phoenix, AZ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty F. Morgan and Ruth D. Clark, and his brother, George T. Clark.
Dr. Clark earned his B.A.in mathematics from New York University, Bronx, NY and his Th.M & D.Min degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, TX,
Dr. Clark previous to serving actively for 35 years as a missionary with Baptist Mid-Missions, Cleveland, OH, pastored 2 churches here in the USA; Faith Fellowship Chapel, Burleigh, NJ from 1967 - 1971 and Eckhart Baptist, Eckhart, MD 1971-1976. During his missionary career Dr. Clark’s ministry was training national leadership all over Southeast Asia. Dr. & Mrs. Clark lived in Australia, Philippines, Singapore and Bangalore, India until they returned to the USA in 2006 and served from 2007-2011 on the campus of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. He retired from Baptist Mid-Missions as an active missionary at the end of 2011.
Dr. Clark was a member of Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church, Baldwin, MD. He enjoyed regularly teaching an adult Sunday School class and preaching when given the opportunity. Dr. Clark was a lifelong student of the Bible which he continued doing right up until the Lord called him Home. He enjoyed many hobbies: gardening, woodworking, working SUDOKO puzzles, making jewelry, doing cross stitch & other needlework projects as well as making the frames to display his needlework.
A Memorial Service will be held at Upper Cross Roads Baptist Church, Baldwin, MD, at a time to be announced in the Spring 2018.
