David M. Wibirt, age 64, of Granby, Connecticut passed away on February 16, 2021. Born in Elmira, New York, he was the son of Harold Martin and Velma Marie (Phillips) Wibirt and husband of 40 years to Janette Parks Wibirt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After leaving the Navy he worked at Skytech, Inc. at Martin State Airport, before starting with Stanley Black and Decker. He was the Chief of Aircraft maintenance for Stanley Black and Decker for about 35 years in the Aviation Department beginning at Martin State Airport in Middle River, MD then Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT. David and his family are members of Emory United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his daughter, Amy (Eric) Elizabeth Pauley; son, Alex (Sarah) Wibirt and Sarah’s son Rory; two grandchildren, Lucas Henry Wibirt and Owen Davis Pauley; brother, Rocky Wibirt; sister, Linda Frank; and many other beloved family and friends.
The family will have a private graveside burial service and a celebration of life will be held at later time when it becomes safe to do so.
