David Louis Quinn

July 14, 1940 — August 10, 2014

David "Dave" Quinn, 74, of Pasadena, MD passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2014, with his wife, Dorie and daughter Heather by his side. Born on July 14, 1940 in Joppa, MD, he was the son of the late William "Bill" and Myrtle (Moxley) Quinn. He was known best as Dave by his friends, DaDa by his sister and her family, and Poppy by his daughters and their families.

He married his wife Dorie Dadds on November 14, 2001. He attended Aberdeen High School. He worked at Belko Corporation as a machine operator; for Dave Bowman of Aberdeen as a mechanic; and then he and his Dad operated a service station together in Aberdeen for a few years; then he worked for Aggtrans and Charlie Brown as a construction site representative. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Edgewood Assembly of God until unable to do so for health reasons.

He loved his family and really enjoyed his grandkids and great-granddaughter. He was an avid Ford fan and back in the 50s and 60s when it was tradition to name your cars, his car was known as "Mr. Scrooge". He enjoyed Sprint car and NASCAR racing. In addition to watching NASCAR on TV he loved watching wrestling, the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens.

He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by: his loving wife, Dorie; his only sister Jan Vest and husband Doug from Covington, VA; two daughters, Michele Caviness of Pasadena and Heather Kern of Pasadena; one nephew, Bob Ginger of Kingsville, MD; two nieces, Debbie Ginger of Delta, PA, and Donna Trigger of GA; five granddaughters and one great-granddaughter; and a special friend, Don Collins, who he enjoyed speaking to daily on the phone.
