David Lee Joines

DAVID L. JOINES, of Street, MD, died of multiple myeloma at his home on January 16, 2008. He was 62. Born in Street, MD, he was the son of the late Elbert Monroe and Mildred Rudolph Patrick Joines and the husband of Myrtle M. Walker Joines for 33 years. Mr. Joines was a 1963 graduate of the Bel Air High School. He worked at the Kunkel Service Company for 44 years serving as manager of the Rising Sun store for 24 years. He was an active member of the Bel Air Church of the Nazarene for 52 years. He was a charter member of the Harford Region Antique Car Club. He enjoyed camping and traveling.

Mr. Joines is survived by one brother, Harold “Larry” Joines of Street, MD; and three sisters, Virginia “Jenny” Leonard of Bel Air, MD, Joyce Mellin of Brighton, MI, and Shelva Calhoun of Millville, NJ. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Julia “Judy” Brown, and Shirley Ruth Joines. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charles Brown, Randy Calhoun, Russ Calhoun, James Leonard II, Shawn Ruehl, and Jason Walker. Honorary pallbearer will be Raymun Leonard.
