DAVID L. FOX, age 73, of Camden, Delaware, died in Union Memorial Hospital on May 20, 2004. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Bernard and Anna Marie Delaney Fox. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. After his discharge from the army, he went to work for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 33 years. After retiring he worked part time for the Aegis for a few years and as a consultant for Bethlehem Steel. He loved woodworking and made beautiful tables, shelving, and desks, whatever was needed. He added outside decks and finished basements with wonderful clubrooms, as well as remodeled other rooms for family, neighbors, and friends. He was a lifetime Orioles fan. He had great respect for Cal Ripken, Jr. Later in life he became an avid golfer. He was well respected and loved by coworkers, friends, and family alike. He was a quiet and practical man whose opinions and advice were often sought by family and friends.
Mr. Fox is survived by his wife who he married at the age of 21, Delia A. Wain Fox; three daughters, Sister Cynthia Fox, D.C. of Hyattsville; Catherine Bacastow of Forest Hill; Patricia Chaney of Aberdeen; one brother, Daniel Fox of Pasadena; one sister, Mary Schaumloeffel of Baltimore; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Kenneth Fox.
