DAVID JAEGER, age 67, of Lakeland, Florida, died in Lakeland Regional Medical Center on January 17, 2004. Born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Paul and Esther Silver Jaeger. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He moved to Harford County at a very young age. He was an active and loyal member of the Aberdeen Rotary Club for over 35 years. He was a past member of the Associated Builders and Contractors and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Churchville. He graduated from Lafayette College where he earned a degree in Engineering. He worked for GE before going into the Army. Upon discharge from the Army, he worked for his father at Jaeger, Inc. where he soon purchased the business and he owned and operated it until 1994 when he retired. Upon his retirement, he moved to Florida where he built his home. He enjoyed working for the City of Lake Wales as a building official.
Mr. Jaeger is survived by his wife, Norma R. Ricketts Jaeger; two step-sons, George Eugene Shillman of Forest Hill; Norman Leslie Shillman of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; one brother, John Paul Jaeger of Ruxton, Maryland; one sister, Anne Jaeger of Bel Air; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Shillman, Eugene Shillman, Jr., Mark Creighton, William Bisker, William Mitchell, and Dave Thompson.
