David J. Thornton, Sr.

David J. Thornton Sr., age 69, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 12, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in East Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late Charles Macon and Lilan Margaret Norman Thornton. He is remembered for being a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served with the Marines as a Corpsman. He enjoyed going about Bel Air on his scooter with his two dogs, Chessie and Mazie. He made handmade reindeer ornaments which can be found on many Christmas trees. He loved his family vacations that took them around the world.

Mr. Thornton is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ann Thornton; sons, David James Thornton Jr., Daniel Jason Thornton and wife, Julie and Dale Joseph Thornton and wife, Heather; brother, Charles Peter Thornton; sister, Charlotte Marie Tarkey; and grandchildren, Gabrielle Thornton and Jenna "Littlest Pumpkin" Thornton.
