David Bungori, Jr., age 69, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on March 22, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, he was the beloved son of David Dominick Bungori Sr. and Helen Louise (Carr) Bungori.
In his younger years, David found joy in craftsmanship, particularly building, such as the deck adorning his home. Alongside his cherished wife, Sue, he enjoyed annual camping trips to their campsite in Berkeley Springs, WV. He found relaxation in watching shows like Shark Tank, Family Feud, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
David's heart overflowed with kindness, readily extending help to others, particularly children. He epitomized love, care, and generosity, with his family always being his top priority. As a devoted husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle, he touched countless lives with his warmth and affection.
David had his routines and favorites, enjoying coffee with creamer and egg sandwiches on toast. Though a man of few words, his one-liner jokes never failed to bring smiles, often referring to himself humorously as "Mr. Wonderful."
David and his wife Sue's journey began at Faith Baptist Church in Joppa, MD, where they met and built a beautiful life together, celebrating 47 years of marriage.
In addition to his loving wife Sue, David is survived by his devoted daughter Amy Neubauer, and five cherished grandchildren: Dylan Neubauer, Cayden Carter, Daniel Carter, Leah Carter, and Issiah Carter. He is also survived by four sisters: Linda Bungori, Mary Bailey, Thelma Sakamoto, and Amanda Bland.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Matthew Bungori, brother Alfred Bungori, and sister Baby Girl Bungori.
In honor of David's compassionate spirit and love for children, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
David's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness.
