Darthey R. Comer

Darthey R. Comer, age 86, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 22, 2013 at Regency Park Assisted Living in Gambrills, MD. Born in Rocks, MD, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Glen and Lilly Joyce Caudill Rhodes and wife of the late Joseph D. Comer. She had worked as a secretary for the Department of Defense. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace and volunteered in the cafeteria at Meadowvale Elementary School. Until about 2010, she enjoyed lunch with friends at the McDonalds in Havre de Grace. She also enjoyed crocheting, traveling, Orioles baseball, cats and going to Deep Creek Lake in Western, MD.

Mrs. Comer is survived by her brother, Dale Rhodes of Aberdeen, MD; grandchildren, Joseph P. Comer of Annapolis, MD and Jennifer L. Comer of Falling Waters, WV; and great-grandchildren, Luke Spencer Comer and Henry Joseph Comer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Charles Glen Comer.
