Darlene Y. Pickell

DARLENE Y. PICKELL, age 59, of Belcamp, MD, died on December 2, 2007 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Henry George Weiner Jr. and the late Mary Ellen Bell Weiner. A Harford County resident since 1989, she worked for the U. S. Government for over 25 years, where she was a secretary. She was an avid reader and a lover of animals, especially cats, and volunteered at the Humane Society of Harford County and Operation Animal Rescue. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters and sisters.

Ms. Pickell is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer M. Vincent of Colorado Springs, CO, Heather L. Johnson of Abingdon, MD, and Laura Diane Pickell of Belcamp, MD; two sisters, M. Diane Vesek of Forest Hill, MD and Mary Ellen Hebb of Towson, MD; three brothers, Richard H. Weiner of Dundalk, MD, Henry George Weiner III of Arbutus, MD, and Michael Henry Weiner of Towson, MD; and two grandchildren, Olivia Nevaeh Johnson and Myles Rockwell Johnson, both of Abingdon, MD.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to the Harford County Humane Society of Fallston, MD, the Defenders of Animal Rights of Phoenix, MD, or to the A.S.P.C.A of Baltimore, MD.
