Danny Jones

Danny Jones, 77, of Wytheville, VA, formerly of Edgewood, passed away on December 11, 2015. Born in Austinville, VA, he was the son of the late Frank and Lena (Sisk) Jones. A logger for 35 years, he worked for F. Nelson Smith & Sons, CD Miller Saw Mill and Sturgill Saw Mill. He also worked, 15 years, for Aberdeen Proving Ground as a motor vehicle operator. He was an avid golfer and Orioles baseball fan. He loved to watch the Ravens play and enjoyed watching old western movies.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth A. (Lambert) Jones; sons, Danny Ray Jones and wife, Vicky, and Robert Franklin Jones and wife, Tammy, all of Havre de Grace; brothers, Joe Deen Jones and wife, Juanita, and Randy Jones and wife, Mary, all of Austinville, VA; sisters, Madeline Neal and husband, Clay, of Greer, SC and Patsy Barnes and husband, Rev. Tommy Barnes, of Draper, VA; grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Jones, Amanda Leah Jones and Zachary Nelson Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steve Quick, Matt Kemp Sr., Matt Kemp Jr., Renard Childs, Earl Jourdan and Mike Newsome.
