Daniel V. Leftridge

Daniel V. Leftridge, age 65, of Street, MD, died on June 24, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late William Denton and Clara Hazel Reedy Leftridge. A lifetime resident of Harford County, he enjoyed working on the farm in Forest Hill, where he grew up. He was a former police officer with Bel Air and Aberdeen and went on to the Harford County Sheriffs Office from where he retired. He was a highly decorated officer who received a Purple Heart, and was a two time recipient of the Policeman of the Year award. He also had a side career as a mason.

Mr. Leftridge is survived by his son, Terry Leftridge and his wife, Rose, of Street, MD; daughters, Donna Ferrer of Las Vegas, NV and Christine Kovacs of Street, MD; siblings, Nancy Crockett, Bill Leftridge, Lois Harward, Frank Leftridge, Shirley Greer, Ann Heisey, Sally Sexton, Jim Leftridge, Dick Leftridge, and Phyllis Walker; eight grandchildren, Michael and Corey Klunk, Aaron Dorn, Troy and Tony Leftridge, Brandon Dorn, Brittany Ferrer, and Shelby Kovacs; and one great-grandchild, Alexis Rogers.
