Daniel Scott Macleod

Daniel Scott MacLeod, age 59, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on August 22, 2021 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of Malcolm and Evelyn (Matlock) MacLeod and husband of 32 years to Suzanne MacLeod.

Daniel was a seeker of Truth and loved and followed Jesus with his whole being. He was the Associate Pastor in Millersville, MD at Vineyard Christian Fellowship before moving to Harford County where he planted Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Harford County and served as the Senior Pastor for the past 13 years. His authentic kindness, compassion, and genuine love for others was something that many were impacted by. He lived from a place of gratitude and exuded peace despite his many health challenges over the years. Daniel was an adventurer who sailed from Annapolis to Greece and was a man who loved to enjoy nature, read a good book, and break bread with friends new and old. He loved to laugh and found joy in the simplest pleasures’ life has to offer. He was a family man— a beloved father, grandfather, and husband. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Gill, son-in-law, Timothy Gill, and grandchild, Charlotte Gill.

The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Walker Chapel, on Mountain Christian Church campus at 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa MD.
