Daniel Paul Kahoe

July 19, 1957 — January 24, 2025

Daniel Paul Kahoe, Sr. age 67, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on January 24, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Stephen and Anna (Jenkins) Kahoe and the husband of the late Linda May Fleshman Kahoe.

Danny grew up on a farm in Street, Maryland, and graduated from Bel Air High School in 1976. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy from 1976-1980. Following his service, he dedicated 30 years to the United States Postal Service before retiring. He and Linda raised their two sons on a small farm in Georgetown, Delaware, where he nurtured a love for the outdoors. Danny was known for his appreciation of good food, especially steamed crabs, and his loyalty as a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, the Washington Commanders, and the Baltimore Ravens. He also loved Nascar and especially respected Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

Danny’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. He cherished fishing with his 2 boys and just being out in nature with them. Cutting grass brought him both peace and a sense of pride when he left a lawn looking better than his own. “Camping trips” with his brothers were always very special. Danny will be remembered as a gentle and loving man who left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Kahoe, Jr. (Heather) and Michael Kahoe (fiancé, Rebecca Osman), and his loving grandchildren, Daniel III, Brayden, Serenity, Kensley, Eliza and Dallan. He is also survived by his brothers, Mickey (Mary) Kahoe, John (Donna) Kahoe, Joseph (Debbie) Kahoe, Thomas (Robin) Kahoe, and Larry (Jennifer) Kahoe; his sisters, Elizabeth (Joe) Martinez, Katherine (Jim) Cooper, Helen (Jim) Kurtz, Rita (Donald) Charney, Bonnie (Mike) O'Shaughnessy, and Joan Haggerty (fiancé, Nelson Bengel) and sister-in-law, Belinda Kahoe and brother-in-law, Gary Mullins, as well as, many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Danny was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Mullins and Mary Ann Campbell, and brothers, James Kahoe, and Patrick Kahoe.

Services will be held on February 8, 2025, at 10:30 am, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
