Dale H. Neeper

June 3, 1944 — October 17, 2016

Dale Hudson Neeper, age 72, of Bel Air, MD passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Monday, October 17, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born June 3, 1944 to Alice and Russell Neeper. A lifelong resident of Harford County, Dale graduated from Bel Air High School in 1962 and then went on to get his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Towson State University. He worked in Harford County for 33 years as an educator and tech prep coordinator, and then in 2000 took a job as volunteer coordinator for Harford County, later accepting the position of educational liaison for two county executives. Dale married his best friend, Laurie Gift, and shared a loving marriage for 47 years. They went on to have one daughter, Angie, their pride and joy. Such a warm and caring man, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, volunteering, traveling, and working out at the Bel Air Athletic Club.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife Laurie, daughter and son-in-law, Angie and David Picarello, and grandpuppy, Cash Picarello. Being the youngest of four brothers, Dale was also survived by Roy Neeper and sister-in-law, Carole, sisters-in-law, Edie and Millie. He was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Don.

The family welcomes friends to a Celebration of Life Memorial for Dale on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Christ Our King Church, 10 Lexington Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. and the service at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Dale's name to the Kaufmann Cancer Center or Harford County Humane Society.
