Dale Eugene Young

Dale Eugene Young, 62, of Joppa, Maryland passed away peacefully On August 14, 2021 at his home while surrounded by family and friends after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. Born in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of Dale Maurice and Carolyn Ann (Lehl) Young. After attending Joppatowne High School he went on to serve in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, Dale’s love for welding became apparent; leading him to achieve certification in the state of Maryland at the age of 20.

Being an avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he and his son Corey enjoyed traveling to fish together.

In addition to his parents, Dale is survived by Son, Corey Joseph Young; Sons girlfriend, Jena; dear friends, Helene and Frank and many others.

He was preceded in death by best friend and soul mate, LuAnn Vacek Young; sister, Shari Young and several other family members.

Visitation will be held at The McComas Celebration of Life Center in Jarrettsville, MD on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 4pm, followed by a memorial service at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Joppatowne Christian Church or Gilchrist Hospice.
