Age 78, of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed into the arms of his heavenly Father, with his wife of 58 years at his bedside on March 9, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.
Born in Clear Lake, South Dakota, Dale was the son of the late William and Esther (Kilpatrick) Buckholtz. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Edwards) Buckholtz and a proud father to their two children, Teresa Lyn and Christopher Allyn.
Dale graduated from Clear Lake High School in May 1964. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and then trained at Aberdeen Proving Ground in heavy equipment maintenance. In March 1965, he was stationed in Germany, where he served for two years’ Dale received an honorable discharge in September 1967 and returned to civilian life with his wife Jean.
After settling in Maryland, Dale worked in various construction jobs before finding a career in sales and delivery. He worked for Royal Crown Soda and Fowler Distributing Company, and later became the proud owner/operator of Station Spirits in Northeast, MD.
Dale was a devoted family man, and he enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and bowling. He was also a passionate Green Bay Packers fan. As a member of Crossroads Community Church, he made lasting connections with those around him.
Dale is survived by his daughter, Teresa Lyn Weinstein; son, Christopher Allyn (MaryBeth) Buckholtz; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Beverly (Merlyn) Strom; and brother, Wayne (Diane) Buckholtz, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lorraine, Shirley, and Janet, and brother, Harley.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Community Church of Harford County in his memory.
