Dakota Carr

Dakota Carr, age 12, of Belcamp, Maryland passed away on November 30, 2023, at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Autumn Simpkins and the late Johnthan Kyle Carr.  He played baseball for Havre De Grace Little League, a sport he loved and was an avid Orioles fan with his favorite player being Gunnar Henderson, and loved NASCAR with Kyle Busch being his favorite driver. Dakota talked about joining the Army as a fighter pilot once finishing school.  He loved his family, especially his little sister Willow, friends, and teachers at Swan Creek School. He also loved his dog Bella and his guinea pigs Princess and Duchess.   

In addition to his mother Dakota is survived by his step-father, Francis Slenbaker; sister, Willow Keefer; grandmother, Kathryn Sindall; grandfather Timothy Carr (Ted); aunts, Danielle Simpkins and boyfriend Tavon Jones, Dana (Rod) Shipley, Shannon Simpkins and many more; uncle, Keith (Tara) Simpkins and many more; favorite aunt, Dawn (Greg) Borowy; cousins, Cheyenne Wise, Belle Shipley, Kyra Shipley, Landyn Jones and many more; best friend and favorite person, Micah (Amanda) Fernandes.
