Cynthia "Sue" Albers

Cynthia "Sue" Albers, age 91, of Street, Maryland, passed away on October 2, 2024, at Hart Heritage Estates in Street, Maryland. Born in Elizabeth City County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late David Lockett and Mary (Dise) Chandlee, and the beloved wife of the late William D. Albers.

Formerly a resident of Baltimore County, Sue moved to Harford County to be closer to her family. She worked most of her life in the insurance industry, where she was well-respected for her dedication and professionalism. Outside of work, Sue was an avid reader and a loving caregiver to her family. She cherished her time at the movies with her loved ones and enjoyed taking her grandchildren roller skating, creating lasting memories for them.

Sue is survived by her son, Donald Hamre, Sr., and his wife Carol; her daughter-in-law, Darlene Hamre; and her grandchildren, Donald Hamre, Jr., Christopher Hamre, Justin Hamre, John Hamre, III, and his wife Sherry, and Lauren Seeker. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Morgan Hamre, Blake Hamre, and Griffin Seeker. Sue is also survived by her sister, Sarah "Sally" Wickes.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by her sons, John Hamre, Jr., James Hamre, and David Hamre; her brothers, William "Bill" Lockett, Randolph "Boo" Lockett, and Michael Lockett; and her sister, Irma Phillips.
