Curtis Lloyd Black, age 68, of Joppa, MD, died on May 17, 2011 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Tarboro, NC, he was the son of the late William and Mary Davis Black. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with nearly 27 years of service, and was a member of the 369th Regiment in New York. He was employed for 31 years with General Motors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed working in the yard, exercising, and always wanted to be there for everyone.
Mr. Black is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheryl O. Brown Black of Joppa, MD; sons, Phillip Knight of VA and Gerard and Khari Black of Joppa, MD; daughter, Kamara Black of Joppa, MD; brothers, James Black of NY and Michael Black of NC; sisters, Elizabeth Sutton of NC, Mable Best of VA, Dorothy Hall of NC, Harriett Lipscomb of Baltimore, MD, and Edna Jackson of Owings Mills, MD; and grandchildren, Reece, Sania, and Pierce Black, all of Joppa, MD.
