Cozette ''Cozy'' Coates

Cozette "Cozy" Coates, of Joppa, MD, died at the age of 79 on November 6, 2016 at Overlea Health and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, MD. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to James and Maggie (Lyons) Ruffin. She was a generous person who was well liked by all and loved by the children in her neighborhood. She loved her pets and liked to garden and take care of her yard. She was known for her baked goods that she would give out to people. Family was very important to her.

Survivors include her husband of over 30 years, James J. Coates; her daughter, Deborah J. Boyer of Ann Arbor, MI; her sister, Dorothy Ruffin; many nieces and nephews; and Goddaughter, Chari.
