CORRINA WHITTINGTON, age 91, of Bel Air, died in Mariner Health of Bel Air on December 6, 2002. Born in Poole, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Carrie Elsie Bell Gwynn and the wife of the late James Alfred Whittington. She had been a faithful member of Clarks United Methodist Church for many years. She joined the Usher Board over 50 years ago. She attended and participated in the activities of the UCUA of Harford County as long as her health permitted her to do so. Corrina was Secretary for the Clarks Usher Board until she asked to step down. She was also the church Chaplin for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Women of Clarks. She was loved by her fellow usher church family and her Christian family. She was always willing to support the ushers when needed. Her sweet humble attitude showed her Christian love and warrants her as a role model for all ages. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was truly a child of God.
Mrs. Whittington is survived by two sons, Douglas G. Jordan of Baltimore; James L. Whittington of Forest Hill; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Allen D. Jordan, Sr., Allen D. Jordan, Jr., Cedrick Jordan, Drew Jefferson, Delanor Pope, and Kenlin C. Walton.
