CON BELL, age 79, of Bel Air, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on January 2, 2004. Born in Sparta, North Carolina, he was the son of Hardin Noel and Myrtle McCoin Bell and the husband for 58 years of the late Dolly Muller Bell. He worked as a dairy farmer for 57 years. He also worked as a truck driver for Diversified Machine Incorporated (DMI) for 20 years. He enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Bell is survived by three sons, Arthur C. Bell and his wife, Marie of Bel Air; David A. Bell and his wife, Lina of Abingdon; Steven T. Bell, Sr. and his wife Lilly of Jarrettsville; four brothers, Walter Bell of Sparta, NC; Dean Bell of Sparta, NC; Hurley Bell of Barslow, California; Roy Bell of Sparta, NC; three sisters, Darlene Hearson of Rankin, Texas; Georgia Higgins of Sparta, NC; Jean Combs of Aberdeen; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey L. Bell; one brother, Ernest Bell; and one sister, Hazel Adams.
Pallbearers were: Steven Bell, Jr., Brian Wescott, Brian Bell, Teddy Beaman, Sr., Randy Andrews, Allen Walker, and Randy Walker.
