Col. (Ret) Ira E. Dodd

Col. (Ret) Ira E. Dodd, age 90, of Edgewood, MD, died on July 30, 2010. Born in Carney, Oklahoma on October 15, 1919, he was the son of the late Carl Morrison and Rosa Mae Patton Dodd, and husband of the late Barbara Louise Reed Dodd. A World War II veteran, he served in the Army from 1936 until 1970. After retirement, he worked as a volunteer for the AARP doing taxes for more than 20 years. He was a 50 year Master Mason and Sojourner. Col. Dodd is survived by his only son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Barbara Dodd. Ira left behind four grandchildren, Clifford D. Dodd, Michelle B. Dodd, Anna Booth, and Tom Hendges; and five great-grandchildren, George Wiley, Chad Wiley, Amanda Wiley, Adam Hamilton, and Drew Booth.
