Ken enjoyed living on the water where he played on his jet skis and boat, "At Ease" with family and friends. He excelled at all sports and was currently training to run in the Army Ten Miler with his wife. For many years he was a volunteer coach for soccer, baseball, and football. He was a member of the Maryland Golf and Country Club, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, and the National Guard Mixed Bowling League at APG.
