CLYDE EDWARD BARLOW, age 78, of Darlington, MD, died on May 25, 2008 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Lecompte, LA, he was the son of the late Johnnie and Sadie Duncan Barlow and husband of the late Peggy Barlow. A Harford County resident for 60 years, he worked for Crouse Construction where he was a truck driver. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the American Legion. An avid sportsman, he loved his home state of Louisiana and enjoyed fishing and barbecuing.
Mr. Barlow is survived by a daughter, Lynn Marie Barlow-Melfa of Rising Sun, MD; four step-daughters, Cindy Huovinen and her husband, Danny, Robin Greensfelder and her husband, Denny, and Geraldine Russell and her husband, James, all of Baltimore, MD, and Peggy DeGraw and her husband, Frank, of Joppa, MD; stepson, George Walters and his wife, Chris, of Baltimore, MD; a brother, J.C. Barlow of Plaquemine, LA; two half-brothers, Isaac Duncan and Mack Duncan of Plaquemine, LA; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Michael E. Barlow; four brothers, Frankie, Jessie, Lawrence, and Floyd Barlow; a half-sister, Audrey Duncan; and half-brother, Claude Duncan.
