Clifton W. Holman

CLIFTON “CLIFF” W. HOLMAN, age 91, of Edgewood, MD, died on February 8, 2006 at his home. Born in Todd, NC, he was the son of the late William Walter and Grace Graham Holman. He worked as a carpentry foreman for the Harford County Board of Education for 17 years, in airplane assembly for the Glenn L. Martin Company in Middle River, MD for 10 years, and for two years worked as a parts assembler for Boeing in Pennsylvania. He loved gardening, farm animals and birds.

Mr. Holman is survived by his wife of 68 years, Virgie M. Greene Holman of Edgewood, MD, who he married on December 18, 1937; one son, Richard P. Holman, and his wife Claudia, of Abingdon, MD; one daughter, Cleta H. Norris, and her husband Jerry, of Edgewood, MD; two sisters, Treva Boyles and Willa Hayes-Wood, both of Kernersville, NC; four grandchildren, Andrea N. Norris, and her companion Christopher Eddy, of Bel Air, MD, R. Todd Holman, and his wife Kristen L. Holman, of Edgewood, MD, Laura B. Norris of Edgewood, MD and Katie R. Holman of Abingdon, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Shane T. Eddy of Bel Air, MD and Leah M. Holman of Edgewood, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Clifton Kent Holman; two brothers, Reeves Holman and Jake Holman; and one sister, Viola Jones.
