Cliflyn Spamer Sadler, age 89, of Pylesville, Maryland passed away on September 7, 2021 at his home. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Harry and Evelyn (Spamer) Sadler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Korea, later he owned and operated Sadler Tool Company for 28 years before his retirement in 1997. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, loved the outdoors; camping, hiking, boating, fishing and spelunking (cave exploring) in his early years. He also enjoyed family and friend get togethers and loved his life on Deer Creek at Sadler Point. Cliflyn was a devoted father and husband, and his favorite place to visit was Laurel Springs, NC which was his wife's birthplace.
In 1893, Cliflyn’s grandfather, Elmer Jasper Spamer, established the Spamer Family Cemetery in Perry Hall, which is now known as Rocky Rest Cemetery. Cliflyn was a Trustee of the cemetery and took care of it for many years. Now the care of the cemetery remains in the hands of Linda Spamer Dewey, David Sadler and Steve Sadler, who are all Spamer family members.
Cliflyn is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Lee Sadler; son, Stephen Wayne Sadler and wife Tina; grandchild, Kali Anna Sadler and husband, John Schmucker; sister, Bettie Collins; and brother, Arvin Sadler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Mark Kevin Sadler and Daniel Cliflyn Sadler.
