Edgewood

In loving memory of Clifford Ross Curtian, Sr., a cherished husband, father, and friend, who suddenly passed away at the age of 87.  Born on March 31, 1935, Clifford’s journey through life was one of dedication, laughter, and love. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will forever live on.

Clifford was born in Baltimore, MD where he attended the Baltimore City schools systems.  In 1969, he and his family moved to Harford County, MD where he remained until his passing.   His early years were filled with cherished moments spent at his mother’s shoreside home in Pasadena, MD, where he and his brothers, Lester, William, Albert, Bobby, Edward, Johnny, and Donald cultivated a lifelong love for fishing—a passion that brought him immense joy throughout his life.

He met and married the love of his life, Lorrain Jackabowski, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Their union was blessed with four wonderful children, and for 40 years, until Lorrain’s passing in April 2016, they navigated the ups and downs of life side by side.

Clifford spent his career as a forklift operator for ACME MARKETS, retiring at the age of 62. His hard work and dedication were hallmarks of his character, providing for his family and setting an example of integrity and resilience.

Beyond his professional life, Clifford was known for his FAMOUS SHE CRAB SOUP, along with his incredible storytelling ability where he captivated friends and neighbors with tales of his youth, adventures with his brothers, and the simple joys of life. His sense of humor, evidenced by his fondness for telling jokes and riddles, brought laughter and light to those around him. His doted on his loving neighbors, whom will fondly remember these moments of shared joy and camaraderie.

Clifford’s love for spending time with family and friends, his passion for fishing, and his gift for storytelling created a legacy of beautiful memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his three (3) children, Clifford Ross Jr., Linda Cline and Collete Koch who will carry forward his legacy of love, perseverance, and joy.  He was predeceased by his youngest son, Michael Dean Curtian.  Clifford’s presence will be deeply missed, but the impact of his life will continue to inspire and comfort those he left behind.

A service to celebrate Clifford’s life will be held at The McComas Funeral Home Abingdon, MD., where family, friends, and loved ones are invited to share in remembering a life well-lived.

Clifford’s story is not one of an end but a beautiful reminder of the power of love, family, and friendship. May his memory be a source of strength and comfort to us all.
