Clement J. Vanden Eynden

Clement J. "Van" Vanden Eynden, age 88, of Forest Hill, MD, passed away on January 12, 2012 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in St. Bernard, OH, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Clara Rabe Vanden Eynden and husband of the late Janice E. Vanden Eynden. A veteran of the U.S. Army, who volunteered to serve our country in WWII, he was in the 79th division 463rd BAI-AAA Anti Aircraft Battalion. After the service he attended Miller Business School and graduated from Chase College. He moved to Harford County in 1963 from Cincinnati, OH when he was transferred by Commercial Credit where he worked as an accountant for 37 years. He was a former member of St. Margaret Parish where he served as one of the first Eucharistic Ministers. He was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis Xavier Holy Name Society, St. Ignatius Parish and a lifetime member the Knights of Columbus 4th degree Bel Air Council #4714.

Mr. Vanden Eynden is survived by his son, William J. Vanden Eynden and his wife, Sharon L. of Bel Air, MD; daughters, Donna M. Kahoe and her husband, John W. of Hedgesville, WV, Nancy A. Marek and her husband, Dr. Charles B. Marek Jr. of Baltimore, MD and Lois J. Cannaliato and her husband, Michael F. of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Marcella Faig and Beatrice Graman of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Laura M. Reep, Jill M. Kahoe, Janice F. Ward, Jonathan W. and Jacqulyn D. Vanden Eynden, Dawn M. Doucette and Charles B. Marek III; and great grandchildren, Tyler J. Zimmerman, McKenzie J. Reep, Andrew J. Ward and Charlotte Grace Doucette.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 533 E. Jarrettsville Road, Forest Hill, MD 21050.

Pallbearers were Jason Reep, Charles Marek, Steve Shaheen, Jonathan Vanden Eynden, Mike Cannaliato and Timothy Ward.
