Claudia Claudette Zadroga (née Sayre) of Bel Air, passed away on December 18th at the age of 73. Given the nickname “Penny” at young age, she was raised by her maternal grandparents in Fairmont, West Virginia. Penny graduated from Fairmont State University with a BA in Education and went on to receive her Master’s Degree from John’s Hopkins University. She retired from teaching for the Baltimore County Board of Education after more than 30 years and enjoyed her retirement with family and friends. Besides being an avid reader, Penny was a crafter at heart, loving to sew and embroider clothes, make jewelry, paint beautiful scenes on any paintable surface, knit & crochet, and for a brief while even gave woodworking a shot.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Anthony “Tony”, her daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Brandon Taylor, her sister Helen and two brothers Jesse and Robert, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
