Claude K. Sheppard

CLAUDE K. SHEPPARD, age 93, of Linthicum, formerly of Street, died in Hammond’s Lane Genesis Eldercare, Brooklyn Park, MD on July 31, 2003. Born in Laurel Springs, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Hillary F. and Hattie Mae VanNoy Sheppard, and the husband of the late Helen Ann Little Sheppard. He retired in 1980 after 40 years of service as a road construction foreman with the Corun and Gatch Company. He enjoyed farming and caring for his livestock.

Mr. Sheppard is survived by two daughters, Jean M. Walker and her husband, Laurence M. Walker of Linthicum; Ramona Friend of Street; a daughter-in-law, Irene Sheppard; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by one son, James Franklin Sheppard; one daughter, Elsie Mildred Newman; one brother, Stanley Sheppard; four sisters, Boyd Eaton; Maude Rice; Mrytle Lenane; and Raye Edwards.

Pallbearers were: Charles Friend, Larry Walker, Andrew Sheppard, Scott Sheppard, Jeff Sheppard, and John Newman.
