Claude Edward Atwell

Claude Edward Atwell, age 79, of Elizabethtown, KY, died on April 23, 2010 at his home. Born in Pocahontas, VA, he was the son of the late Joseph Alex and Nannie Belle Ashford Atwell and husband of the late Helen Atwell. A Harford County resident for over 30 years and a Cecil County resident for over 5 years, he had worked for Bata Shoe Company for 36 years. He drove school buses and also worked for Fullerton Supply Company on a part time basis. He enjoyed camping and fishing in Chincoteague, VA. He loved his family, especially time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Atwell is survived by his sons, Robert Atwell of Santa Nella, CA, Daniel Atwell of Elizabethtown, KY, Roger Atwell of Port Deposit, MD; niece, Lenore Dunphy of Elizabethtown, KY; three grandchildren, John Atwell, Donald Hopkins, and Shannon Dixon; and five great-grandchildren, Jenna, Victoria, Alyssa, and Bradford Dixon, and Audie Hopkins.
