Clarence Robert Bay

CLARENCE “BUD” ROBERT BAY, age 62, of Darlington, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on February 13, 2005. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of the late Clarence Elmer and Virginia Alexander Bay. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he was a truck driver for ambulance transport and Jerry Preston Hauling. He worked with Ralph T. Blevins Plumbing and Heating. He worked with the Special Olympics. An avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Dale Jared and he worked on the pit crew for Buddy Arrington. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post 10146 in Street, MD.

Mr. Bay is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jo Ann Bay; one daughter, Teresa L. Takac of Orlando, Florida; one brother, Richard Bennett of Bel Air; four sisters, Maureen Phillips of Texas; Kathleen Phillips of Monkton; Charlene Morgan of Pennsylvania; Debbie Jones of West Virginia; three grandchildren, Justin Cole Takac; Tyler J. Takac; and Logan E. Takac, all of Orlando. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Robert T. Bay and two daughters, Michelle L. Bay and Kimberly A. Bay.

Pallbearers will be: Rick Bennett, Richard Allen Bennett, Donald Shepherd, Mitchell McLane, Sonny Kirk, and Timothy Scotten. Honorary pallbearers will be: James Scarborough and Michael Bay.
