Clarence Edward Sonntag

CLARENCE EDWARD SONNTAG, age 91, of Joppa, died at his residence on May 28, 2003. Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Jacob Christopher and Caroline Ziegler Sonntage. He had retired after 40 years of service at Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a crane operator. He was a member of Towne Baptist Church.

Mr. Sonntag is survived by his wife of 57 years, Verna M. Parsons Sonntag; one son, Herbert A. Sonntag of Joppa; one daughter, Sylvia M. Eddings of Okemah, Oklahoma; one sister, Bonita Oberdorf of Dundalk; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were: Herbert A. Sonntag, Michael E. Sonntag, John R. Sonntag, David A. Sonntag, Roger Laubach, and Keith Brown.
