Clarence C. Pegram, 90, of Bel Air, MD passed away on May 8, 2015 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Dothan, WV, he was the son of the late James Calvin and Willie Jane (King) Pegram and husband of the late Helen Toney. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he worked as a Computer Systems Analyst for Edgewood Arsenal and, from 1985 to 2003, had volunteered as a tax preparer for AARP. He was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church and past member of Maple View Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing in various choirs and was a member of Kingdom Bound Ministries. A Past Master of the Masonic Lodge, he was also Past President of the Churchville Golden Age Club and Dothan, WV, PTA. His interests included photography, farming and hunting.
Mr. Pegram is survived by his wife, Helen W. Carmody; daughters, Linda Pegram of Bel Air and Norma Townsley Poole of Stony Creek, VA; grandchildren, Nathan J. Townsley and Linda Jyoti Townsley; stepsons, Michael Carmody of Lonaconing, MD; Terance Carmody and wife, Paula, and Kevin Carmody all of Bel Air, and Maurice and wife Linda Carmody of Hellam, PA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings.
