Clarabelle Seaman, age 89, of Aberdeen, MD, died on December 9, 2008 at her home. Born in Burnsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Ova and Emma Lee Hanshuemaker Scarff. She had been employed at Victor's, in Aberdeen, where she loved being a beautician, especially cutting the kids hair. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Seaman is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles Hugh Seaman of Aberdeen, MD; son, Robert Stanley Seaman and wife, Carolyn, of Aberdeen, MD; daughter, Charlotte Virginia Mayfield and husband, Arthur M., of Aberdeen, MD; brother, Corbit Scarff of Pennsylavania, sister, Opal L. Franks of East Millsboro, PA; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Dana Scarff, sisters, Elizabeth Harmon, Agnes Decker, Annabelle Scarff, and one grandson.
Pallbearers were Arthur Mayfield Jr., Joseph Rawl, Jacob Seaman, Michael Seaman, Brooks Crothers, and Paul Worthington. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Seaman and Arthur Mayfield Sr.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice Service Inc., 4805 Benson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21227.
