Clara E. Gorrell

CLARA E. GORRELL, age 98, of Forest Hill, died at her home on June17, 2005. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Henry Conrad and Elizabeth Anna Pohl Horstman and the wife of the late S. Wilson Gorrell, Jr. A homemaker, she had also been an organist at the Centre Methodist Church. She was a member of the Bel Air United Methodist Church, the Centre Methodist Church Choir, the Centre Methodist Church Women’s Society, and the Forest Hill Homemakers. She was an avid reader.

Mrs. Gorrell is survived by one son, Wilson S. Gorrell and his wife, Sandy of Forest Hill; one daughter, Lorraine Gorrell and her husband, Dr. Wilburn W. Newcomb of Edgemoor, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Ethel Horstman of Glen Arm; five grandchildren, Debra Testerman of Forest Hill, Wilson C. Gorrell of Forest Hill, David S. Gorrell of Bel Air, Rachel Newcomb of Winter Park, Florida, and Julia L. Gorrell of Forest Hill; and five great-grandchildren.
