Christopher Doyle Reddy, age 46, of Aberdeen, MD passed away on May 30, 2020 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of William Doyle and Mary-Louise (Mendelis) Reddy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a certified LPN.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by his three sisters, Leah Bertrazon, Lisa Reddy and Susan Reddy-Mara; his brother, Bill Reddy; his two aunts, Ann Schwartz and Mary Agnes Twomey, both of whom he was especially fond, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins scattered throughout the U.S.
Life was difficult for Chris. He suffered from chronic depression, insomnia, as well as alcoholism. Still, he welcomed each day as a new beginning and was never without hope. He loved his family and friends and shared his gift of humor with them. He loved music, taught himself to play the guitar, and wrote his own lyrics. He spread his humor through his stories as well. He loved to entertain others with his jokes and often accompanied them with a home-made meal. He was quite the cook! His love for others was all encompassing. He never met anyone he didn’t like. He loved animals, and like people, he respected all of them.
Later in life he became more aware of God. He searched for a clearer understanding of the afterlife. He often asked how to pray.
May you find peace Chris, with no more struggles, no more pain, but true eternal rest.
You are loved beyond measure!
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a Mass be celebrated in his honor or that donations be made to the Humane Society of Harford County, 2208 Connolly Road, Fallston, MD 21047.
