Christina Barclay Currie

Christina Barclay Currie, age 90, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023 at Hart Heritage Estates - Forest Hill in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Kirkconnel, Scotland, she was the daughter of George and Jenny (Fraser) McCormick and wife of James Blair McCreadie Currie. Christina was married to Blair in 1953 and they immigrated to the U.S. on the Queen Mary in 1961 with their two young children to make a better life them. They lived in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Christina was a bank manager most of her life and retired from New Brunswick Savings Bank. When she and Blair retired, they moved to Edenton, North Carolina where they lived for 30 years. She was a very talented seamstress, doll maker and gardener and was adored by family and their many friends. Christina and Blair became world travelers in retirement and lived the best life. They are truly the American Dream come true.

In addition to her husband, Christina is survived by her daughter, Linda and her husband Steve Migliore; son, James Blair Currie; grandchildren, Heather Grover, Courtney Fielding, Blair Currie, Dale Huebschman, Sean Currie, Laurie Brown, Duncan Huebschman, Amanda Currie and Cameron Wallace; and brother, Jim McCormick in Yorkshire, England. They were also blessed with nine great grandchildren.
