Charlotte Peverley Silver

Charlotte Peverley Silver, age 86, lifelong resident Bel Air, MD, passed away on August 18, 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Sydney Dunham Peverley, Sr. and Carolyn Webster Harrison Peverley. She was a longtime board member at Ladew Topiary Gardens and for many years, took great pride in being chairman of the Ladew Flower Arranging Committee. Mrs. Silver was a member of many years in the Country Garden Club of Harford County as well as a member of the Mt. Vernon Club in Baltimore, MD.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. Silver took great pleasure in sharing her home and gardens with friends and family. She was a gracious hostess and considered a gourmet cook.
Mrs. Silver is survived by her husband, William Silver II of Bel Air, to whom she had been married for 62 years; her son, Edmund Pendleton Hunter Silver of Williamstown, MA; daughters, Caroline Webster Harrison Silver of Narrabeen, Australia , Sarah Ellicott Silver Nealley and husband, Eric William Nealley, of Silver Spring, MD; and grandson, William Hunter Harrison Nealley of Silver Spring, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Sydney Dunham Peverley, Jr. and grandson, Andrew Ellicott Nealley.
